Lee Tenenoff II
Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator
Lee Tenenoff enters his second season on the Illinois College Football staff in 2019 and will begin his first season as the Defensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for the Blueboys.
In his first season on the staff, Tenenoff was the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach, producing two All-MWC performers on the defensive line and a total of five All-MWC selections from the defense. The Blueboys ranked third in the MWC against the rush and were third in takeaways.
Tenenoff came to IC after a two-year stint at Wisconsin Lutheran College coaching the Defensive Line. During his time at WLC, Tenenoff coached five All-Conference selections including a Conference Defensive Player of the Year. As the Defensive Line Coach at WLC, the defense set a program record for sacks with 35 during the 2016 season, 33 of which came from Defensive Linemen.
Prior to WLC, Tenenoff spent one season at Division II Southwest Minnesota State University functioning as Running Backs Coach, Assistant Recruiting Coordinator, and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. At SMSU, Tenenoff mentored the Conference's leading rusher who was also a 2nd team All-Conference selection. During the 2015 season, SMSU experienced the best season in program history going 8-3.
Tenenoff received a degree in Biokinetics from Bethel University in 2015, and earned his Masters degree in Leadership and Innovation from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Lee and his wife, Savaya, reside in Jacksonville with their daughter, Lila.
Terrence Lockett Jr.
Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Backs
Terrence Lockett, Jr. begins his first season on the Illinois College coaching staff in 2019 and will coach defensive backs.
Before joining Illinois College, Lockett, Jr. had previous coaching stops at Coe College, Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, Saint Louis University, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and most recently at Bishop Dubourg High School in St. Louis where he was Defensive Backs Coach and Offensive Coordinator.
Lockett, Jr. played defensive back at Missouri S&T and Coe. A native of St. Louis, he graduated from DeSmet Jesuit High School.
Assistant Football Coach/Outside Linebackers
Beau Parkevich begins his third season as a defensive assistant with the Illinois College coaching staff in 2019. He works primarily with outside linebackers after coaching defensive backs in his first season on staff.
A former two-sport athlete (football and baseball) at IC, Parkevich played two seasons for the Blueboys. Since joining the coaching staff, he has coached All-MWC South Division selections Steve Reyna, Jacob Homann and Nick Tadie in 2017, as well as Matt Graef in 2018.
Parkevich resides in Jacksonville.
Assistant Football Coach/Secondary
John Heafner enters his 10th season as an assistant football coach at Illinois College. Heafner works primarily with the secondary.
Heafner earned his bachelor’s degree from Blackburn College in 1997 and his master’s degree from Quincy University in 2007. He currently serves as a school counselor at Pikeland Schools.
Prior to coaching at Illinois College, Heafner served as the defensive coordinator at Pittsfield High School and Round Valley High School in Springerville, Arizona.
Heafner and his wife, Kristi, reside in Pittsfield with their two children: Jack and Jaynee.
